Cover illustration for a promotional notebook.

I put together a promotional mail-out pack, including an A5-sized lined notebook, to send to potential clients. The bespoke illustration for the cover shows a diverse group of four characters, interacting with the phrase 'What A To Do'.

One character is writing out the word ‘What’, while another broadcasts the word through a megaphone, and holds the letter 'A' pinched between finger and thumb. A third character is holding up the letters for the word 'To' and the final character has the letter 'D' on a sandwich board, while holding the letter 'O'.

The limited colour palette helps harmonise the artwork, while the background segmentation into four rectangular spaces provides an instant structure for each character to live in, and break out from.
